Dr. Samwel Ateya is a re-knowned Family Physician and a Co-Founder of Kanyimbo Hospital Limited.
He sits in the Board of Kanyimbo Hospital Limited.
Dr. Ateya completed his medical training at Kharkov National University, Ukraine before proceeding to Moi University in Eldoret for his postgraduate training in Family Medicine.
He is licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board as a Family Physician.
He holds certification in Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington.
Dr. Ateya is passionate about Family and Community Health, Disease and Injury Prevention, Health Promotion, Chronic Disease Management and Palliative Care.
In addition to his seat at the board, Dr. Ateya serves as the Treasurer of the Board, the Chair of the Governance & Human Resource Committee as well as the Chair of Audit and Risk Management Committee of the board. He also provides his leadership skills in improving health outcomes as the Team Leader of Primary Health Care in the Outpatient and Emergency Department.
